Description
Scotland is renowned for its castles and fortifications. This illustrated course takes in the full sweep of history, from the Iron Age to Hanoverian times. Particular case studies include the brochs of Glenelg, the castles of Bothwell, Tantallon, Blackness and Stirling and finally Fort George: the best example of 18th century military engineering in the UK.
