Additional information about this course

The idea still persists that in the early 5th Century, the Romans left Britain and switched off the lights! We will discover how over the next 400 years the arrival of various groups from northern Europe combined with the resident population to form a culture rich in literature, artwork, and technology and with a strong legal, administrative and organised society.
